HELLO !

Having a Party?  Getting Married ?

want background music ?

The New Society Jazz and Rhythm & Blues Band plays music from several genres - from the traditional jazz / dixieland  jazz of Louis Armstrong and the Thirties dance bands of Hylton and Fox to the swing of Goodman and Miller through to the laid back tempos of classic New Orleans Rhythm & Blues.

The music for your  special occasion is your choice. We can accommodate your preferences be it Traditional jazz, Rhythm & Blues, some pop or American Songbook / standard show tunes - or a mix !  You can also decide on the number of musicians you want  to entertain you. We can turn out as a:

TRIO: Piano, Bass, Sax

trio- sax, piano, bass                                                                                              quartet- trumpet, sax, guitar, bass                                                                            quintet - trumpet, sax, guitar, bass and drums                                                            sextet - add a trombone

Our band's singer could be added to any of these combinations

We play mostly in Hampshire, West Sussex and Surrey.

From a satisfied customer :

Dear Mr Kemp,
I'm glad the band enjoyed the hospitality. Our guests enjoyed the band probably more than you realised. They were appreciating a volume of music which allowed conversation with their neighbour. Even the Golf centre staff were impressed with the pleasant live music insread of the usual loud disco.Thank you for providing the perfect atmosphere for our party, and I would recommend the band to anyone seeking a live jazz experience -  Roger Ersser.
